Article for my double page spread

Do you remember Britney with her pigtails in and her red lippy? We certainly do! We are going to follow Britney’s tough and amazing journey from a shy childish school girl doing a step by step dance routine. To a red hot woman in a all in one leather cat suit, black make up and red hair. How Britney changed, and why she did. The princess of pop soon became queen. She first was on national television in 1992 on the Disney channel, in 1997 Brit got a contract with ‘Jive’ and released “baby one more time” in 1999 she sold over a whopping 25 million records worldwide and was an instant star. In 2001 she starred in “crossroads” and it was a big hit! And she was still the innocent girl she started out to be. In 2004, Brit married her childhood friend Jason Allen in Las Vegas. The marriage lasted a whole 55 hours ending in annulment, suddenly when the star was a few weeks away from being 20, she brought out “I’m a slave 4 u” and used caged animals as props and they were seen to be mistreated and shocked the nation in her revealing leather pants and pink thong! Then in early 2002 Britney and big star Justin Timberlake ended their four year relationship. Then Timberlake brought out “Cry me a river”. Throughout the years Britney Spears has sold over a huge 83 million records worldwide she was named the second-best selling act of the 2000’s. She has had a number of different albums; including Baby one more time “Britney”, “In the zone” and “blackout”.

has had one hell of a journey through her pop career, as you probably know already Britney went a bit off the rails and shaved her head. She lost the plot a little which is understandable with all the pressure she is under. She brought out the song “Piece of me” which in my opinion was a brilliant come back, the lyrics included “I guess I can’t see the harm in workin’ an bein a mama” She is basically saying I am back and this is why I am back and I am not ashamed of who I am. Which is why Britney is who she is today, the legendary Britney Spears who isn’t scared of anything and will always make a come back! She also says in the song “I’m Mrs She’s too big now she’s too thin” proving that no matter what she does she is either disgustingly fat or anorexic.

When she is eating something, the paparazzi are straight on her saying she is putting on weight and giving up on herself, when poor Brit has only taken a bad picture like we all do once in a while. “If she’s a size 14 she is “fat” and if she is a size 6 she is too thin!” Fan described her as “an inspiration” and another fan said “I know she has had her ups and downs in the past but it is understandable after all the pressure she has been put under and the stress of it all, also she can’t do anything without being criticized”. Britney must have very thick skin after all the hat she has been put through and all the things that have been said to criticize what she does. Past the fame and beauty it must be a hard life for Brit.

. She has gone from innocent teen with hair in piggy’s and long socks, to the girl next door type, to sexy Brit with dance moves to die for, to caring mother trying to get on with her career, to elegant and upper-class. And now Britney is just living her life with a huge pop career still going strong, but what will Britney do next? Will it be good? Bad?

What an achievement. And that is why Britney Spears is the queen of pop, never letting anyone down with her songs. She has gone through a huge and inspiring journey through pop over the years and is an inspiration to anyone. Britney has had a tough life with the things people have said about her and it must really hurt and she must have very thick skin. Especially when you’ve got to look as glamorous as Britney Spears. She is not perfect, but then again who is? So give it up for Britney and show your appreciation at www.craze.com/BritneySpearsAppreciation it’s time we gave the once was princess and now QUEEN of pop a break. She is a fantastic icon and an inspiration to us all. A huge pop star and a woman to be proud of, it can’t have been easy doing a whopping 152 songs! -What a woman!
